5cm Fest Pak & Emplacement

The 5cm Fest Pak L60 was an obsolete tank gun that had been used on the Panzer III.  It was adapted for use as a static beach defence weapon and deployed along the Atlantik Wall.  The gun pit ‘Tobruk’ was the most common method for mounting the gun.  Examples can still be found in Normandy, the best known of which is beside ‘Pegasus Bridge’ at Benouville in Normandy.
