PEGASUS BRIDGE - MULBERRY HARBOUR -CONVERSION SETS

Dan Taylor Modelworks are proud to present their first major product. This 1/76 scale model kit lovingly recreates the famous bridge. The kit is composed of over 150 polyeurethane resin parts with a further 75 etched brass parts. The whole model measures 690mm in length - over two feet long.

The bridge was extensively surveyed and photographed to create the model. It has been built as it was in 1944, before the 1970's extension, complete with its wooden roadway and many other original features. The kit contains two etched brass frets which include over a metre and a half of finely rendered handrail. The resin parts include all of the bridge's workings and even the pilot's control box which was demolished after the war. There is a twelve-page, fully illustrated instruction booklet plus a diagram showing the layout of the German defences to help you build a diorama around the bridge.

Resin parts for the model were cast by Milicast Models in Glasgow. Etched parts were produced by PPD Limited in Loch Gilped.

MULBERRY

Our second model - more accurately range of models - is a set of Mulberry Harbour components in 1/76 scale. These models are based on a set of extensive engineering drawings used to build the original components and have been referenced with wartime photographs and survey's of some of the exhibits still on display in Normandy. Again, the models will be supplied in resin with etched brass details as appropriate. They each come with fully illustrated instructions with painting instructions.
