Mulberry Pier Beetle

Of the three types of pontoon used for Mulberry, the Pier Beetle was the toughest.  It was used for the final run to the beach where a free-floating unit would be regularly battered against an occasionally rocky beach by the tide.  The legs enabled the pontoon to be fixed at a specific height and, whilst elevated, were bedded in using concrete-filled sand bags.

The kit comprises 41 resin and etched brass parts.
