Vickers Light Mk VI Conversion Set (1/72 Scale)

The Vickers Light Mk VI was the most numerous tank type in British Service at the start of the Second World War.  Despite its diminutive size and thin armour, it continued in service through to the start of 1942.

It has taken a long time for a 1/72 scale kit of the Light Mk VI to appear and so it is pleasantly surprising to find that there is now a choice between two - first by Ace, the second by S-Model.  Although both offer markings for the Western Desert, neither is configured with the adaptations made to tanks in North Africa.  This kit therefore corrects this omission.  Within the set are eight resin and twenty-six etched brass parts which include sand shields, stowage racks, and highly detailed replacement surfaces for the turret.  The vehicle may be displayed with all hatches, including the driver's, in the open position.  Fully illustrated instructions will guide you through the building process to make a distinctive and eye-catching model of this diminutive tank.

Although this kit is designed for the S-Model Mk VI, the instructions show how to adapt the parts where necessary for the Ace kit.
