27th Armoured Brigade - set 2

This set provides the markings for the Staffordshire Yeomanry (Queen’s Own Royal Regiment) as they appeared during their service in Normandy between 6th June and 31st July 1944.  Having landed on D-Day, they took part in the rebuttle of 21.Panzer Division.  They went on the take part in all of the major operations in the eastern sector of the bridgehead, including Operations Charnwood and Goodwood. The brigade was disbanded at the end of July because of the difficulty of finding replacement  AFV crews.

Markings are provided for 4 x Sherman III (M4A2) early versions, 6 x  Sherman III (M4A2) mid production; 2 Sherman Vc Firefly, 1 x Stuart M3A1; and 1 Crusader AA.
