29th Armoured Brigade & 11 Armd Div HQ
Our first 29 Armd Bde set has some unusual subject matter in the form of some divisional headquarters vehicles. The Brigade’s first action as a unit was the attack across the Odon - Operation Epsom. Despite difficult conditions they performed well and 11th Armoured Division quickly grew a reputation for toughness under the command of ‘Pip’ Roberts.
The set has specific markings for 3 x A27M Cromwell Mk IV Command Tanks; 1 x M3A1 Scout Car; 1 x Sherman Mk V Command Tank; 1 Humber Scout Car; 1 Bedford QLD Lorry; plus a number of generic markings to use on 29 Armoured Brigade’s vehicles.
