After a long and illustrious campaign in the Western Desert and Italy, chiefly serving as an armoured regiment, the 8th Hussars returned to the UK in order to take part in the landings in Normandy. They had reformed as the Armoured Reconnaissance Regiment of 7th Armoured Division and fought throughout the campaign in Northwest Europe with this role.
This set has markings for ten A27M Cromwell tanks, two of the 17-pdr gun armed A30 Challenger tank, and a single Daimler Dingo Scout Car plus generic markings for further vehicles from the unit. As usual, the markings are suitable for both 1/76 and 1/72 scale vehicles.
