Ack-Ack Prediction and Spotting
In order to accurately aim anti-aircraft guns at high flying targets, crews had to use increasingly complex sighting and prediction devices. As German bombers began to operate at over 30,000 feet, it might take a shell up to 30 seconds to reach the correct altitude and so equipment needed to be able to place barrages accurately where the aircraft were going to be - and then to modify accuracy based on proper analysis.
