The first German tank unit to arrive in North Africa was Panzer Regiment 5, which unloaded in Tripoli during February 1941. Soon joined by Panzer Regiment 8, they were almost immediately sent forward the 600km to the front to take on the British, as part of what became known as the Afrikakorps. This set concentrates on the Panzer IIIs and Panzer IVs of I Abteilung, led by Major Mildebrath.
This set comprises markings for twenty-two Panzer III ausf F, G and H, plus two Panzer IV ausf D. The detailed instructions are intended to give an idea of standard locations for markings plus a couple of examples, providing easy reference if you want to be more detailed.
These markings are suitable for 1/72 and 1/76 scale vehicles.
