British Mk III Helmet
Introduced in 1944, the Mk III Helmet was the first change of shape since steel helmets had been introduced in 1916. It offered better neck protection for crouching and prone soldiers. It was so successful that the same 'turtle' shape was retained for the Mk IV Helmet which remained in use well into the 1980s. This unpainted resin set has five heads wearing both plain and scrim coverd cersions of the helmet, plus a discarded helmet.
