Dorchester ACV (Low Power)
AEC’s Armoured Command Vehicle was thought so comfortable that it was named after the Dorchester Hotel. The vehicle was based on the Matador 4x4 chassis and over 400 were built. The Dorchester was introduced in 1941 and first served in the Western Desert.
This set has markings for seven ACVs during different phases of the war. Two of the represented vehicles were captured by the Afrikakorps and employed in Rommel’s tactical headquarters so markings are provided for British and German service.
A set for the High Power version of the ACV is available separately.
