Gun Barrel, 2-pdr QF Mk X
The two-pounder was the standard British tank gun from 1938 until the arrival of the 6-pdr gun in 1942. This later version became the most common type during 1941 and into 1942 and was installed on A12 Matilda II, A15 Crusader and on various Armorued Car types, as well as being an anti-tank gun in its own right.
Two types were employed - the Mk IX (also available), and the Mk X - as depicted in this kit. The former has a smooth taper where the Mk X has a step towards the breach end. This fine reproduction of the gun is precision made and is suitable for both 1/76 and 1/72 scale models.
