Developed from a Guy design, the Rootes Group, the Humber Armoured Car was first produced in 1940 for the reconnaissance role. It proved successful in the Western Desert and, through a number of changes - mainly to the turret - developed to its ultimate version, the Mk IV by 1943. By then it mounted a 37mm gun and had a crew of three. The type was used extensively in Italy and Northwest Europe. Post-war users of Humber Armoured Cars included Portugal, India, Burma and Egypt.
This is a multi-media kit with resin, etched brass and a turned metal gun. In addition, detailed instructions allow you to further enhance your model to your taste. It goes with the Matchbox 1/76 scale kit of the Humber Mk II - recently re-released by Revell.
