Humber Scout Car - Allied Nations

The Rootes Group began production of a Scout Car based on the chassis of their Light Reconnaissance car in 1942, as an alternative to the Daimler Dingo Scout Car. A number of nations used the vehicle both during the war and in the post war period and this set celebrates some of those users.

This all new injection moulded plastic kit is the first designed in-house by Modelworks.  It contains 62 finely detailed parts that build into a precise reproduction of the original vehicle, based on measurements of a restored vehicle. This is a limited run model with only 1,000 units to be made.

To be offered in five versions, this boxing includes precise markings (decals) for three Humber Scouts: A vehicle of 2 Regt Lansiers of the Belgian Army in 1950; a vehicle of 5e Regiment  de Cuirassiers, used by the French Army in Indochina; and a vehicle HQ Squadron, 19th New Zealand Armoured Regiment as used in Italy in 1944
