Inter-War Armoured Cars - Sharpshooters

This set is for the scratchbuilders and conversion aficionados! Finely detailed markings are provided to decorate the vehicles of the Sharpshooters during the inter-war period. During that time the unit started as the 5th Armoured Car Company, then becoming the 23rd (London) Armoured Car Company in 1922. They remained with that title until 1939, when they reverted to their full Regimental title - the 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters).Through the 1920s and 30s, they operated a number of armoured car types, some of which are difficult to find in Braille Scale, so plans are provided to help you built your own version where alternatives do not exist.

Through the period, the Sharpshooters played a prominent role in Army training, the General Strike and, most notably, the development of radio equipment to be used inside armoured vehicles.

Aleran Models have been very helpful oin the development of this set - even providing gold-coloured ink for the cap-badge motif occasionally adopted in the period.

This set provides markings for three Peerless, six 1920 Pattern Rolls-Royce, one 1924 Pattern Rolls Royce, four Crossley 1930 Pattern, seven Lanchester and one Morris armoured car. In addition there are markings for two of their support vehicles - a Morris-Commercial D Type 3-ton lorry used during the 1920s and a Morris-Commercial 15-cwt CS8 from the 1930s.
