Overalls

Working Wear in the RTC was denim overalls.  Though the Regular Army wore standard issue items, the Territorial Army relied on private purchase and so there was some variety in cut and shade.  In theory officers only were to wear black overalls, though persistent instructions in Standing Orders requesting that the men refrain from buying black overalls appear to suggest that some flouted the rules.  By 1938 more stocks of a standard olive coloured denim became available, though older hands tended to wear their own, and, after a few washes, the colour could still be far from uniform.

The figures are suitable for 1/76 and 1/72 as they are between 23mm and 24mm in height. The set is provided in unpainted resin and the painted examples shown here are intended to assist in colour choices.
