Rather than concentrating on a single brigade, this set covers a number of neglected and unusual subjects in a particular location - in this case it is vehicles used on and around Sword Beach on D-Day. The set relies heavily on the work of the AFPU photographers, particularly Sgt Jimmy Mapham. They were taken in three major locations: Loading landing craft in Shoreham; on the beach itself and at Hermanville la Breche.
The set includes markings for 5 x Universal Carriers adapted for deep wading, 3 x Jeeps, 2 x CMP HU Ambulances, 2 x Dozer D7s, a Sherman Beach Armoured Recovery Vehicle, an M10 Tank Destroyer, an M9 Half-track, and an Austin K5 - 15 vehicles in all.
